Mt. Zion AME Church - Atglen

The Mt. Zion AME church was founded in 1814. Construction of the current church building was begun in 1861, but progress was halted during the Civil War and the building was finally completed in 1866. In 1934, the church burned to the ground and was rebuilt later the sme year.
