Mrs. Sarah C. Bratton
At 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, Mrs. Sarah C. Bratton, of 217 1/2 Lexington avenue, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. S. Norton, at Newton Hamilton, of dropsy. She had been visiting there for several weeks and was taken ill and she slowly sank unitl she passed away. Deceased was born near McVeytown, and was aged 74 years. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, having embraced the faith when 12 years of age. She possessed a cheerful, kind and loving disposition and was esteemed and respected by all who shared her acquaintance. Her husband preceded her to the grave thirteen years ago, and she is survived by the following children: Forrest E. and J. Ross, of Altoona; Robert L. , of Bellwood, and Mrs. J. S Norton, of Newton Hamiltnon. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Rachel Cochran, of Tyrone. The funeral will take place at 2 o'clock this afternoon. Interment in Memorial cemetery, Newton Hamilton.1
