Bethesda Methodist Church (historic)

The Bethesda church was the first Methodist church in Haverford township when it was built in 1832. The land for the church andits adjoining graveyard was donated by Mrs. Lydia Delaney. When the congregation outgrew their space here, they relocated in 1942 to a bigger facility at Eagle and Steel roads and were renamed as the Ebenezer Methodist church. The old church building on Manoa became a fellowship lodge for the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
