Cecil Friends Meeting

The Cecil meeting was one of the earliest meetings on the Eastern Shore, being organized before 1698. Cecil beame a monthly meeting in 1698 and included Chester Neck, Head of Chester and Sassafras meetings under its jurisdiction The meeting was discontinued about 1900 and the meeting house removed about 1930. The cemetery remains, surrounded by a white fence.
