Reading Man Missed time By One Day - Brother Died next Day

Reading, Pa. Oct. 3. James Bortz, aged 72 years, a bachelor, died Wednesday afternoon at his home at Macungie after having predicted the time of his death within twenty-four hours. Some time ago he received a stroke of paralysis which left him in a feeble condition. Then he made the prediction that he would die on September 30. he missed the time by twenty-four hours. He had many eccentricities, one of which was that he would never accept a receipt after paying a bill. He declared they always led to trouble.

Another brother, Henry Bortz, died yesterday afternoon at the age of 74 years and now a double funeral will be held on Sunday afternoon.1
